Tanto per cambiare oggi parliamo di fiori! Non di un fiore qualsiasi ma di una Ninfea, le Ninfee sono piante acquatiche perenni rizomatose con fiori molto ornamentali, spesso provengono dall'Australia o dal Sud Africa. a country purple magnolia

Oggi vi parlo di un altro bel fiore, la Magnolia Liliflora (sinonimo Magnolia purpurea)
Originaria della Cina, fu introdotta in Europa nel 1970. In Giappone vive allo stato spontaneo. Un'altra specie a foglia caduca e portamento arbiustiivo che raggiunge l'altezza di 3/4 m. Fiorisce tra aprile e giugno e, a differenza di altre Magnolie, ha un periodo di fioritura prolungato e una seconda fioritura autunnale anche se molto meno abbondante.
I fiori sono eretti e chiusi, con petali lunghi circa 7/8 cm e larghi 3/4. Il loro colore va dal bianco al porpora che sfuma nel bianco esternamente.
Le foglie sono lunghe circa 10/20 cm e larghe la metà, ovate, appuntite e di color verde scuso. Ne esistono diverse cultivar tra le quali:"Nigra" a portamento compatto, fiori più grandi porpora molto scuro all'esterno; "Purpurea", che ha fiori grandi di color porpora scuro alla base, sfumati di rosa porpora verso l'apice. Naturlamente tutte queste notizie non sono farina del mio sacco ma sono di questo interessante blog dove potrete trovare interessanti notizie sul giardinaggio.
Today I show You another beautiful flower, the Magnolia Liliflora (synonymum Magnolia Liliflora). Originally fron China, was introduced in Europe in 1790. In Japan living in the wild. Another species of deciduous and shrub that reaches a height of 3/4 m.
It blooms between April and June and, unlike other Magnolias, as a long flowering period and a second flowering period in Autum althought much less aboundant. The flowers are erect and closed, with long petals about 7/8 cm wide 3/4 cm. Their color ranges from white to purple, fading on the white outside. The leaves are about10/20 cm, and half wide, ovate, pointed, dark green. There are several cultivars including "Nigra" a compat habit, larger flowers purple very dark outside; "purpurea" which has large flowers with dark purple at the base and light purple at the top.
